Class Descriptions

 

All class descriptions offer an overview of what to expect in class as well as provides a level to help you decide which class best fits your practice level. Bliss All Level requires no previous yoga experience. Bliss Intermediate Level is an intermediate level class. We invite all levels to join, but some previous experience is helpful. Bliss Advanced Level classes encourage you to have previous yoga experience or a consistent comfortable practice.

Class Descriptions

Awakening Vinyasa

Awakening Yoga is a progressive practice style created by Patrick Beach.  Rooted in hatha vinyasa, this yoga style builds functional strength, increases mobility, and creates flexibility.  Classes are fluid and vigorous, with an emphasis on accessible and creative movement patterns for modern bodies. Beginner's Yoga 4 Week Series

This series is designed to introduce Yoga to those with limited or no experience. If you’re a beginner in Yoga or haven’t practiced in awhile, start here!

Over the course of 4 weeks, you will learn the basics of Vinyasa Yoga including postures, breath work and relaxation. The focus will be on developing a practice that suits your individual needs as well as allows you to be comfortable in a group setting. By the end of the series, you will be familiar and confident enough to move into Bliss All Level classes.

Join us today to see how all of these combined will empower you on your journey to more focus, balance, strength and flexibility.

Blissful Flow

A slower paced Vinyasa class with more emphasis to move meditatively with the breath. The practice involves synchronizing the breath with a continuous flow of postures and is a great class to focus on the posture as it settles into the body, as well as a focus on stretching, relaxing, and adding meditation into your practice. Bliss All Levels.

Blissed Out

Get ready to relax from the chaos of daily life and find your blissful center. Class is a blend of seated and reclined Restorative and Yin yoga postures with self massage via Therapy Balls. Various yoga props are used to support our postures so total relaxation can be obtained and specific areas will be targeted for deep stretch and massage. Breath work and mindfulness techniques are explored to round out the experience of release. You will leave feeling completely Blissed Out! This class is appropriate for all levels, even those without any yoga experience. Bliss All Levels.

Express - Relax

Step away from the hustle and bustle of the work day for a mid-day break for your body and mind. Slow and focused vinyasa sequences paired with long holds in yin poses and a luxurious savasana will leave you clear, focused and ready for the rest of your day.

Bliss Express - Strength

Join us for a dynamic yoga practice that incorporates traditional yoga sequencing, light resistance training, and maybe even a little cardio. This fun, playful practice will help build the strength and stamina for your regular yoga practice and challenge your muscles in new ways. Expect a variety of core strengthening exercises, arm & leg exercises, standing, and mat exercises. The class will utilize familiar yoga poses, so grab your mat, your hand weights, and your water bottle for this quick lunchtime yoga workout!**30 minutes, Zoom Live Streaming Only!**

Community Yoga

Our Community Yoga class is a wonderful opportunity to explore the practice of yoga and get to know the community at Bliss Yoga Studios. This vinyasa flow class is appropriate for all levels, from beginner to more intermediate, as options are presented for everyone. Class will work through yoga postures that are energizing, yet centering, and will end with an opportunity to connect deeper through relaxation. Bliss All Levels.

**Our weekly Community Yoga class is always FREE to attend in honor of our commitment to providing access for all to a safe and welcoming environment to experience the practice of yoga.

Chakra Flow

Connect to your physical body and energy body through this chakra inspired class. A combination of Vinyasa flows and Yin postures will be practiced to help channel confidence, creativity, and bring balance to the chakra system. Class may include pranayama, meditation, and the use of stones and aromatherapy. Bliss All Levels.

Evening Movement & Meditation

This slower paced evening class is designed to allow you to surrender the burdens your mind and body have experienced during the day and leave you calm and relaxed and ready for sleep.

The quality of surrender is designed to relinquish effort and allow feeling back in. Often we grip so tightly onto things in our lives to gain a sense of control and comfort as we embrace the unknown. In this practice, we invite you to explore vulnerability, leave behind all attachments, and let yourself be just as you are. You will be guided through a soothing exploration of the body, mind, and spirit’s current state through yoga postures and meditation.

Gentle Flow

This class is designed for beginners through intermediate students that are looking for slower paced movement while focusing on stretching and relaxing. In Gentle Flow, you’ll be guided through basic poses using props to allow the body to fully achieve each pose comfortably. This class is great for students looking for a more gentle experience, those who are new to yoga, or those that may be taking care of injuries and experience some limitations. Bliss All Levels.

Morning Movement & Meditation

In Morning Movement & Meditation, we honor your need to rise & shine with ease, but promise to leave you energized & focused for your day ahead! Class begins with 5-min of pranayama (breathwork), gently guiding you into a yoga sequence grounded in vinyasa & hatha traditions that builds with intensity as we wake-up together. Practice culminates with an intentional 10-min meditation reflecting our breathwork & movement. Sometimes gentle, other times vigorous, but always a great way to start your day!

Lunar Prana Vinyasa ®

Lunar Prana Vinyasa® practices are offered on or around the full moon each month. Classes still contain flowing postures and creative sequencing, but with a slower rhythm. The intention is to create a space where you can connect deeply within and nourish your body, mind and spirit through your yoga practice. Poses are often held for a longer period of time and subtler practices like breathwork and meditation are explored. Bliss All Levels.

Prana Vinyasa ®

Prana Flow Vinyasa® is a creative, energetic and dynamic methodology of embodying the essence of yoga as created by internationally renowned teacher, Shiva Rea. Classes include flowing postures, creative sequencing, breath work and meditation that guide us deeper into the state of flow. The core of Prana Flow Vinyasa® is the 3 part Vinyasa method which incorporates Pulsation Vinyasas, Body Vinyasas and Rhythmic Vinyasas. These techniques allow us to explore the energetic movements of Prana within our body, connect with our breath and liberate our mind from tension and stress.  Practice is vigorous but options are presented for all levels. Bliss Intermediate Level.
