New to Yoga

Everyone CAN practice yoga at Bliss Yoga Studio! We believe that yoga is for every body regardless of age, weight, fitness level, or experience. We have multiple classes on the schedule designed to support beginner’s on their journey to beginning a yoga practice!

 

If you’ve never tried yoga before, we recommend starting with our Beginner’s Yoga classes so you can learn the basics of yoga. See more details below!

Beginner’s Yoga 4 Week Series

This series is designed to introduce Yoga to those with limited or no experience. If you’re a beginner in Yoga or haven’t practiced in awhile, start here!

 

Over the course of 4 weeks, you will learn the basics of Vinyasa Yoga including postures, breath work and relaxation. The focus will be on developing a practice that suits your individual needs as well as allows you to be comfortable in a group setting. By the end of the series, you will be familiar and confident enough to move into Bliss All Level classes.

$60 per session
Every Tuesday from 7:30 – 8:30 pm for 4 consecutive weeks
In person (limited capacity) or Zoom Livestream available. Please select the option that suits your needs.

 

This class series will build on lessons from the previous week so we encourage you to commit to the full 4 week series to gain the most benefit. If you need to miss a week, please contact Bliss Yoga Studio and we can either prorate your purchase or add you to the next session.

What to expect:

  • Bring a yoga mat, or use a complimentary studio mat
  • Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in but that also allow your teacher to see your alignment.
  • Take off your socks & shoes and leave them up front.
  • Turn off your cell phone and leave it up front during class. No cell phone allowed in the studio, please!
  •  Talk to your instructor if you have any health issues or worries.
  •  Arrive 10 min early so you don’t feel rushed.
  •  Quitely wait for class to begin.
  •  Don’t eat too much close to class start time.

Morning Movement & Meditation and Evening Movement & Meditation

In Morning Movement & Meditation, we honor your need to rise & shine with ease, but promise to leave you energized & focused for your day ahead! Class begins with 5-min of pranayama (breathwork), gently guiding you into a yoga sequence grounded in vinyasa & hatha traditions that builds with intensity as we wake-up together. Practice culminates with an intentional 10-min meditation reflecting our breathwork & movement. Sometimes gentle, other times vigorous, but always a great way to start your day!

Blissed Out (Breathe/Stretch/Relax)

Get ready to relax from the chaos of daily life and find your blissful center. Class is a blend of seated and reclined Restorative and Yin yoga postures with self massage via Therapy Balls. Various yoga props are used to support our postures so total relaxation can be obtained and specific areas will be targeted for deep stretch and massage. Breath work and mindfulness techniques are explored to round out the experience of release. You will leave feeling completely Blissed Out! This class is appropriate for all levels, even those without any yoga experience. Bliss All Levels.
